Hearing for the first time

I’d be remiss if I didn’t post about this event where severely hearing impaired Sarah Churman heard her voice for the first time. I’ve seen reference to this video everywhere, but I’m including an interview with Sarah on ‘The Today Show’ on NBC. What amazes me is not that Sarah can hear, but that this video is having such a reaction. Hundreds of thousands of successful Cochlear Implants have resulted in similar stories.

This is an implantable hearing aid called “Esteem.” Not a cochlear implant.

    • Ah. Thanks. I didn’t realize that. Do you know the difference? I’m not familiar with Esteem.
